Dead tourist unnoticed on Italian beach
The body of a Russian tourist of 78-years-old was found on the beach in Formia, Italy yesterday. Strangely, it took a few hours before the corpse was noticed by the busy beach goers. Apparently they just kept on playing beach volley, swimming and doing their crosswords. Even when the authorities arrived and the body was covered with a white sheet, people did not seem to care.
What makes this story extra weird is that another body was discovered on the same day, on another beach. In Calabria a 19-year-old Morrocan drowned and washed up to the shore, where Italians were playing volleybal and continued to sunbathe. They wouldn’t want their day of sunshine to go to waste, clearly.
