Ombre Nail Tutorial
The ombre trend is still everywhere. You see it in clothing, hair, accessories and nails. We’re especially a fan of the ombre nails, because you can keep switching between all sorts of different colours. When you master the technique it’s not hard at all, so it’s definitely worth a try!

What you’ll need:
- Nail polishes, best use 3 to 5 different colours, that way it’ll be prettiest
- Make-up sponges
- Transparent nail polish
- Nail polish remover
- Cotton buds

Step 1
Apply a base coat. Choose a lighter colour that’ll fit with the rest of the colours you chose.

Step 2
Take a make-up sponge and apply several stripes of nail polish. It’s very cute to go from light to dark, but a little experimenting can go a long way! Make sure you don’t paint over the other colours, so the different colours won’t stick to your brush (if so, remove with a cotton bud and nail polish remover).

Step 3
Carefully dab the sponge onto your nail, move it for about a millimetre, so the colours will fade into each other. When you’ve applied too much nail polish onto the sponge, first dab it onto a piece of paper. It’s not the end of the world if the nail polish doesn’t completely cover, that’s what the base coat is for.
Step 4
Take a cotton bud with nail polish remover to remove the nail polish on your skin.

Step 5
Apply a topcoat so the nail polish will last longer. You can also choose a top coat with a subtle spark, for a more glamorous look.
