Discover the Algarve
Not yet been on vacation buts starting to feel the itch? We know the feeling! We could really use some foreign sun and secretly dream of the Algarve in Portugal. To get you in the mood for this beautiful part of Europe we’ve found five top activities that will make you instantly want to book a last minute.

1. Fish markets
We love food, and in Portugal they love eating fish. There’s no better way to jump in the local culture than by visiting a local fish market. The fish market in Alhão is definitely worth the visit, there can be found over 80 stalls and the architecture of the place is beautiful. Outside there are a lot of small cafes where you can have a drink after your visit.

2. Zoo Marine
Here you can take a look in the world under water. There are sea lion, dolphin, and seal shows, but there’s also a possibility to swim with the dolphins yourself! There are lots of animals to visit and learn about. When you’re visiting on a hot day and want nothing more than be in the water just like the animals, there are also waterslides to enjoy!

3. Water sports
The sea offers lots of possibilities, you can take surfing lessons or have a go on water skis. You could also book a ride on a banana boat or a jet ski!

4. The Via Algarviana
The Via Algarviana is a 300 kilometre long route that starts at the Spanish border and goes all the way west. The route is well pointed out, just like the sights you can see along the way. 300 kilometres might be a little far, but a part of the route is definitely recommended!

5. Aqualand
Cooling down for a day is very possible in one of the water parks in the Algarve. Aqualand in Alcantarillha has got lots of waterslides and attractions. The Kamikaze is a slide of 92 metres in which you’ll get down in no more than four seconds!
