Increase in rescues from handcuffs
The 50 shades of grey effect is still unstoppable. The book especially give people from London (great?) ideas. The London fire department had to rescue hundreds of people in the last three years who had their body parts stuck on or in domestic equipment. Besides that more and more people had to be freed from handcuffs. According to Dave Brown of the London fire department this could be explained by the success of the trilogy “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
Since 2010 the fire department freed no less than nine people from a ring around their penis. One man sure did have a night he’ll never forget, he succeeded in getting his penis stuck in a toaster.
The fire department suggests to, in case of handcuffs, always keep the keys near. That sure is some advice we’d neeeever thought of ourselves…
