Ruined Fresco Is Goldmine
It’s almost impossible you’ve missed the ruined Jesus fresco last year. A volunteer, Cecilia Gimenez, had restored the fresco so badly that it has now become a tourist attraction on its own. The new version, also called “Beast Jesus”, already had about 40.000 visitors in the little village of Borja in Spain. There’s even been a petition because people don’t want the beast being repaired.

Now, about a year later, the woman has been offered a merchandising deal. The work will be printed on t-shirts, teacups, postcards and more. The woman has a right to 49% of the profit. Last Halloween the Beast Jesus costume was already extremely popular in the US.

It seems like this failure is going to earn this woman a lot of money. What do you think, should the fresco be repaired or should it stay this way?
