Sex Drive-In
Besides drive-in restaurants and cinemas, in Switzerland they’ll be able to make use of an official sex drive-in since yesterday. In Zurich they had been looking for a solution for quite some time, so the city centre would be no longer filled with scarcely dressed women. Because the authorities knew they couldn’t prohibit it, they decided they wanted to have some control. That’s how they come up with the idea of a sex drive-in.
The Swiss prostitutes can now earn their money at a former industrial zone west of the city. There’s a track on which the men can decide which woman they like and they can negotiate a price. After that there are nine sex boxes where they can park their car and the transaction can be completed. There are a lot of rules for making use of the boxes. Clients have to be over 18, every vehicle can only have one person in it and condoms have to be disposed of immediately.
Some prostitutes think the sex drive-in will attract less customers, because they will be intimidated by the strictly controlled environment. For them it is a lot safer however, every sex box is equipped with an emergency button, with which the prostitutes can warn security.
