Top 10 hit: grandpa's song for deceased wife
The 96-year-old Fred Stobaugh married the love of his life in 1940: Lorraine. In June this year they would've been married for 73 years, if Lorraine had not passed away in april. Fred thought of a fitting way to remember her: he wrote a song about her and admitted it in a singer songwriter competition. Note: he had never written a song before. The song ‘Oh Sweet Lorraine’ touched a lot of people and soon dominated the charts. The music was done by the studio that organized the competition, but all the lyrics are straight from the pen (and heart) of Fred.
