The Sunshine Vitamine
If you’re looking outside right now you’re probably not looking very happy. Rain, wind, clouds, it’s obviously almost winter again. Even though it’s not all that long ago that we were able to enjoy the sunshine, it’s already being missed a lot. Not just by us, but also by our bodies. The sun namely ensures that we get a sufficient amount of vitamin D in our body, the vitamin that’s getting more and more attention and that appears to be more and more important.

Vitamin D is gained through sunlight. Vitamin D enters your body through UVB-rays, but the sun power needs to be over 3. Because we’re often inside we don’t receive enough sunlight and even when we are outside we’ve often covered our body with clothing that covers most of our skin, which prevents sunlight projecting directly onto our skin.
We can help our vitamin D intake by eating foods that contain the vitamin. These are fatty fish like herring, mackerel, salmon and tuna. Also egg yolks, milk products and mushrooms contain vitamin D.

A lot of people, especially in winter, don’t receive enough sunlight. This is not so odd seeing as we live in such a cold, rainy country. The symptoms of a vitamin D shortage are a weak resistance, tiredness, winter dip or depression, headaches, lifeless and fragile hair, fragile nails and fragile teeth. 80% of people have a vitamin D shortage!

We’d love to just migrate to there where the weather is always great, but unfortunately this is not possible for everyone… For all those who haven’t just won a million dollars Better You invented the DLux spray. This spray, which is sprayed directly into your mouth, contains vitamin D. If you’d use this spray every day you’re supposed to no longer have a vitamin D shortage.
What do you think, are your vitamin D levels alright or should you start spraying?
