Strawberry-Star Fruit Cake
Women love cake. We can’t get enough of eating it, we can’t get enough of baking it and we never have enough recipes for it. Star fruit is not known by everyone and therefore a less eaten fruit. That’s a pity, because this delicious fresh flavor combines really well with other kinds of fruit, like strawberries.

Preparation
The first step is making (or buying) a regular cake with a circular shape. Fill a spring form with the pastry and bake it for about 45-55 minutes in the oven on 325 F.
If the cake is cooled down, you can separate the top from the bottom by slicing the cake horizontally with a knife. Sprinkle some syrup on the cake and cover it with a mix of pastry cream, butter, gelatine and strawberries. Put the second layer of cake on top of that and sprinkle this one with syrup as well.
If you’d like to, you can add a layer of almond paste. Glaze the cake with the same mix of pastry cream, butter and gelatine as you used in the middle, but this time without the strawberries. Top the cake with slices of strawberry and star fruit.
