What Happened to Tavi the Fashion Blogger?
Do you remember Tavi Gevinson, who became known worldwide at the age of 11 thanks to her fashion blog The Style Rookie? She sat front row at the biggest fashion shows, became best friends with Anna Wintour and wowed everyone with her grandma-like clothing style. We were curious what she's up to nowadays.
Tavi then, 5 years ago:
Currently, Tavi is 16-years-old. In the meantime she has expanded her blog into an online magazine called Rookie. In this magazine, she focuses not only on fashion but also on music and movies. Tavi does not write every article herself, but has a team of (teenage) editors. She owns the magazine and told Adweek in an interview that managing a business is not the same as filling a blog: she practically did not sleep for an entire year.
Considering that she’s still in school and lives with her parents, it’s pretty damn impressive to be called a media mogul at the age of 16. Thumbs up for Tavi!
