Dumb smartphone thief uploads pictures to Dropbox
For a lot of people, it’s one of their worst nightmares, a stolen smartphone. A German girl on a holiday to Ibiza saw her nightmare come true. Even though she was of course very annoyed the real shock came about four months later…
Our German started her computer and got a Dropbox-notice, nothing new, we’ve probably all had those. The weird thing was that this notice told her fifteen new photo’s were uploaded from her phone to Dropbox. But… That phone? Wasn’t it stolen? Indeed! And not by the smartest thief as it appears… Mister smartphone thief loved the smartphone so much that he’d started using it himself. He was also very happy with the apps already on the phone, that he decided to keep those too. Including the Dropbox app. Unfortunately, he wasn’t very used to modern technology yet and forgot to log off, or at least turn off the upload function.
This wasn’t a bad thing, according to our German girl, seeing as she could now enjoy all the exciting moments in the life of our Hafid! She created a -page especially for our friend, on which she utterly ridicules him. We couldn’t stop laughing. Meet Hafid, the dumbest smartphone thief ever.
