Man becomes Superman with surgery
If you try hard enough - and have enough money - nothing is impossible. Even if your dream is to become a real life Superman. Herbert Chavez lives in Calamba City in the Philippines and saw Superman on tv for the first time when he was five. From that moment on he was a fan. And not just any fan: he underwent thirteen surgeries to look like his favorite superhero. He got cheek and butt implants, had a renewed jar, several nosejobs, lip liposuction and his skin was bleached.
The total costs for Herbert's new look? 300.000 pesos. That may not sound like a lot (it's about €3300,-), but if you know that the average hour rate in the Philippines is 90 pesos, it's still quite a large number. But Herbert is pleased with his new face and body, and dresses up in his superhero suit as often as possible.
