Cory Monteith’s Last Movie
When a new film is made and the cast needs to be selected, lots of directors do their best to find actors that are really fit for the role. The director of McCanick, a film that will be released next month, did that freakishly well. This film, of which the trailer was just released, stars Cory Monteith, so we can admire him for one last time. The actor that died last month of a drug overdose plays in this movie, ironically, a criminal drug addict.
The film is about detective Eugene ‘Mack’ McCanick, played by David Morse, who is on the hunt for the drug addicted criminal Simon Weeks. Simon, played by Cory Monteith, has just been released from prison, but McCanick is not done with him yet. The film premieres in September at the Toronto International Film Festival.
