Cirque du Soleil Artist Dies During Act
Do dizzying stunts that the acrobats of the Cirque du Soleil perform always make you feel slightly uneasy? That's with good reason. This week one of the acrobats of the Cirque du Soleil died during the final act of the show. The 30-year-old dancer was performing on a balancing cord when something went wrong. She fell more than 15 meters down and was rushed to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
It is the first time anyone of the Cirque du Soleil-team has ever had a deathly injury; it had never happened before since the start of the circus in 1984.
